Released in 2023, the new iteration is from the creative mind of Gary Aspden, the SPZL founder, and gives the retro-inspired sneaker a modern revamp. If you’re unfamiliar with this unique silhouette, it’s a blend of the Gazelles from the 60s and 70s. For instance, it includes a white leather eyestay from the 70s West German version and the Canadian oversized, gold-foil print from the 80s. Of course, the real star of the kicks is the gorgeous green suede base, which is a match made in heaven with the crisp white, serrated Three Stripes, heel tab, and laces. The special-edition Gazelles feature a classic gum rubber sole with an attention-grabbing herringbone pattern.
