DENIM TEARS was founded in 2019 by TREMAINE EMORY, presenting his first collaboration with MARC JACOBS, the TEARS BAG features the DENIM TEARS cotton wreath icon of design. This proves to be a milestone moment for Emory, as he once worked in the stockroom of the MARC JACOBS store in NEW YORK in 2006 before later moving to LONDON to work at MARC JACOBS' collection store in 2010. Fourteen years later, this collaboration reveals the uncanny ties between EMORY and JACOBS through their ability to infuse dissident vignettes of subcultural iconography.

Founded in 2019 by onetime Marc Jacobs employee TREMAINE EMORY, DENIM TEARS gives voice to African Diasporic stories through contemporary fashion and artful design. By innovating heritage-inspired-modernity, DENIM TEARS has become an undeniable trailblazer in luxury clothing and accessories. Featuring the poignant DENIM TEARS cotton wreath, this collaborative embroidered Medium Tote Bag celebrates African American heritage with the motif TREMAINE EMORY calls “a talisman for black people” and “a call to return back to what built this country.”
